191/365 Pills

I recently ordered some nutritional supplements over the internet and when they arrived I also got this little "bonus" packet. The problem is I have NO idea what these two pills are! They came as you see them in the little zip lock freezer bag simply marked pre-workout stack. Should I take candy from strangers? Hehehe!

Squirel flavoured potato crisps... I haven't tried these yet but I am puzzled as to what they'll actually taste like?!?!

189/365 Diamond

Messing around with the screw-on macro converter. I haven't really used it much so it was a bit trial and error. It really kills depth of field. After all the dark and disturbed photos I thought I'd brighten things up on here. This is April's engagement ring. :)

Shutter: 1/25 sec; Aperture: f/22; ISO: 100
Focal length: 55mm +12.5 macro filter
Flash from side (diffused through a tissue)

188/365 Strike

I just love this little picture on the match boxes showing how fire can be dangerous. I'm odd I know...

185/365 Poppies

Messing around some of the Ypres trip photos using my less than ideal photo editing program. Not entirely happy with the end result of this one yet. I really need to get myself hooked up with a version of Photoshop...

184/365 Behind you!

Because sometimes I am my own worst enemy....

Another fun five minute photochop job, haha! This one is actually a composite of four shots blended into one with a few effects thrown over the top for good measure. Oh and I've just realised I've forgotten to bloody the knife!

183/365 Known Unto God

Went to Ypres (Belgium) yesterday with the year 9 history students to visit some WW1 sites. It was a long day. The coach left school at 6am and arrived back after midnight. This is the grave of one unknown soldier in a British war cemetery we visited. There are around 300 such war cemeteries scattered in and around the town of Ypres.

182/365 Incomplete

Trying my hand at the b-grade movie style five minute post production special effects.

Today is also the HALF WAY POINT of my three six five project! I made it here eventually. I didn't even know if I'd get past fifty posts so I guess it's cause for some kind of celebration! Off to Belgium at 5am tomorrow morning...

181/365 You....

"Cos you sent me singing through the woods last night,
You sent me singing through the - feeling alright,
You sent me singing through the woods last night,
You sent me singing a happy singing boy. Because of you."

- Nizlopi

Messing around with light again, this time trying to write a short passage. I had to write this the right way then flip the image as writing the whole thing mirrored would have done my head in! I need more practice getting my spacial awareness right in total darkness. And yes I realise I made a slight error with the lyrics.

180/365 Tracked

Got my new British passport! Which is good timing as I'm going to Belgium with the school on Friday (oh you know, just day tripping across to the continent).

These new biometric passports have a chip and antenna embedded into them which contains who knows what persona information. This information can be read from a distance without swiping the passport (similar to e-toll) and without you even knowing. There is also the possibility of being able to use them to track your whereabouts. A conspiracy theorist's worst nightmare?

179/365 Factoid

Yoplait Petits Filous: Educating the toddlers of today one sugar and artificial E number filled tub at a time. Contrary to popular belief, this little tid bit about the swans isn't even totally true.

178/365 Imagine

Whenever things feel shyte just remember this place and everything we've shared, because we'll always have the top of the hill in that hamlet in the north... :)

Maybe when we both have our wings...

177/365 Symbolic

Happy birthday Dad! :) This one is for you as it contains almost all the elements. British classic red phonebox, postal box, old style street sign and dry stone wall. Snapped this one while wandering around a little country village.

176/365 Travel

Just messing around with different textures on my editing program... Took this while bored about halfway through our journey to Derbyshire.

175/365 Formal

I look a lot more professional with my short hair. It also cuts my morning prep time by about half an hour, haha! :)

174/365 Superfluous

Hair straighteners: Well I guess I won't be needing these for a while... And yes it's true - I am a total "funky shallow depth of field" addict... :)

173/365 Greens

This one is for Bea, for all her guidance and support. :)

Planned on doing this photo for yesterday's post as that was my actual date but I was too caught up in the excitement of my new hairstyle. Haha! So yeh, the first of March marked my three months since becoming a vegetarian!

172/365 Remodel

Two photos: one taken before leaving the house in the morning and the second taken first thing back home after having my hair cut. I wanted one last nice looking photo of me with long hair as it may never happen again. Its been fun, but it was time for it to go.

And the sign said long haired freaky people need not apply.
And the sign said long haired freaky people need not apply.
