...and then Bea Elliott stumbled across my blog and we began to chat and she introduced me to what I already knew, but in a lot more depth. What followed was a week long trial of cooking vegetarian dinners to see what delightful (and not so delightful) meals I could muster up in the kitchen. I've learnt a lot about vegetarian cooking since then and my skills in the kitchen have certainly improved. This was probably my favorite from that initial week, veggie lasagne:
This week of experimentation turned into a complete overhaul of my diet! I must admit that while there were times I seriously craved a piece of beef jerky (I loved that stuff) or a big bacon and egg breakfast, I have on the whole not missed meat at all.So I'd like to especially thanks Bea for her support and invaluable information. I guess you could say she gave me the much needed nudge to do what I had often contemplated but lacked the information to realise. I could not have achieved this without you. Also another massive thanks for posting this amazing story and image on your blog for me:
It really made my day!!!!!!!!! :) Altough I'd often thought about giving up meat before hand I never thought I'd ever actually be able to do it! I view it as quite an achievement for me and honestly haven't felt this healthy and illness-free in a long time! Cheers!

Well done!! You certainly look much healthier and stronger. Couldn't wait to put my feet up and sip my wine while watching you cook up a big tasty vegie meal. Role reversal as you call it. See you soon.
Well now! You definately made my day too! Changing life-long patterns and habits is an incredible achievement!
You deserve kudos and bragging rights... You've also earned yourself some better health on the way - Anyone with eyes can see this! Good for you... See you for the grand year milestone - in November :)
Type in Bill Pearl.
A Mr Olympia & vegi.
You certainly look much weaker and paler
Congratulations!
Anonymous...Wasn't this you at the last "not-vegetarian grill-fest"?

Congratulations, Klem of the Internets! Once for going veg, and again for making friends with the fabulous Bea. Yay!
Seriously I weigh about 15lbs HEAVIER now than I did back in November! And the paler I chalk up to living in England, haha! :p

Think of all those screaming coco beans that all those chocaholic are killing!!
Nice Job-
Nice job. I am at about 2 and a half months meat and darn near milk & egg free and I am totally lovin' it.
Congrats! It takes a lot of hard work but it's so worth it. Good job :)
