180/365 Tracked

Got my new British passport! Which is good timing as I'm going to Belgium with the school on Friday (oh you know, just day tripping across to the continent).

These new biometric passports have a chip and antenna embedded into them which contains who knows what persona information. This information can be read from a distance without swiping the passport (similar to e-toll) and without you even knowing. There is also the possibility of being able to use them to track your whereabouts. A conspiracy theorist's worst nightmare?

Vigorously rub a strong magnet over the back a few times to f--k up the chip. Heheheheh

Every move you make
Every step you take
I'll be watching you

Yes I'm thinking about giving it a few "gentle" taps with a hammer in order to disable it... ;-)

They won't check the chip or even look at the passport. Your British and a member of the club. Unlike the rest of us who have to line up and get asked hundreds of questions.

And here in the US the big controversy is with NAIS - National Animal Identification System - The issue is before Congress:

This "tracking" system for animals is a prelude of what's to come for man - See for yourself.

So now, with that great passport - when you crossing the ocean to come visit the "sunshine state"? I'll keep the guestroom available :)
